About Thailand

Thailand puts busy city life and quiet beaches within a short drive of each other. In Bangkok you can walk through the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun and see how much work has gone into every roof and wall. The markets stay open late and the food is good at every price level.

Pattaya is the beach half of the trip. Water sports, a day trip to Coral Island, the Alcazar Cabaret Show in the evening and the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden if you want a slower day. Families, friends and honeymoon couples all fit this route, and flights from India are short and frequent. If you have more days, we add Krabi, Phuket or Chiang Mai to the same plan.

We plan the trip around your dates and your group size. Tell us when you want to travel and our team sends you a plan and a quotation. Nothing is booked until you approve it.

Best places to see

  • Grand Palace and Wat Phra KaewThe royal complex with the Emerald Buddha, the most decorated site in Bangkok. Go at opening time and dress to cover shoulders and knees.
  • Wat Pho and Wat ArunThe reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, then a short ferry across the river to the porcelain covered spires of Wat Arun. Best in the late afternoon light.
  • Chao Phraya river cruiseAn evening dinner cruise past the lit up temples and bridges. A cheaper alternative is the public express boat by day.
  • Chatuchak and the night marketsChatuchak runs at weekends and is huge. On other days Asiatique, Ratchada and Patpong cover shopping and street food.
  • Coral Island, PattayaA speedboat ride to Koh Larn for parasailing, banana boat rides and swimming, with lunch on the island. Book a morning departure.
  • Nong Nooch Tropical GardenLandscaped gardens with a cultural show and an elephant area. An easy half day that suits older travellers and children.
  • Sanctuary of TruthAn enormous carved teak temple on the sea at Pattaya, still being built by hand. Worth seeing even if you skip the rest of Pattaya.
  • Alcazar Cabaret ShowA costumed stage show in Pattaya, about ninety minutes, family friendly and a fixture of most itineraries.

Good to know

  • Indians can enter Thailand without a visa for short tourist stays under the visa exemption in force for 2026. Everyone must also complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival, and we send you the link and help you fill it.
  • The currency is the Thai baht. Keep cash for markets, tuk tuks and street food, and use bank exchange counters in the city for the best rate.
  • A tourist SIM or eSIM with data is sold at the airport and is worth buying for maps and ride hailing apps.
  • Temples need shoulders and knees covered and shoes off at the door. Never point your feet at a Buddha image or climb on one.
  • Do not disrespect the royal family in any form. It is a serious offence here.
  • Vegetarian food is available everywhere, but ask for no fish sauce and no oyster sauce. The yellow and red jay sign means pure vegetarian.
  • Use the metered taxis, the BTS Skytrain or an app in Bangkok. Agree the fare before getting into a tuk tuk.
  • Drug laws are severe and enforced. Never carry a bag for anyone else.
