About Phuket and Krabi
Phuket and Krabi sit on the Andaman coast of Thailand and are usually done together. Phuket has Patong Beach, the Old Town, night markets and easy boat trips to the Phi Phi islands and Phang Nga Bay. It is the busier of the two, with more hotels, more nightlife and a direct airport.
Krabi is the quieter half. Railay Beach can only be reached by longtail boat, Ao Nang is the base for four-island tours, and the limestone cliffs behind the sand are what most people photograph. Snorkelling, kayaking and short jungle walks fill the days. The two are about three hours apart by road, or a couple of hours by ferry, so a week lets you split your nights between them.
We plan the trip around your dates and your group size. Tell us when you want to travel and our team sends you a plan and a quotation. Nothing is booked until you approve it.
Best places to see
- Phi Phi IslandsMaya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and Monkey Beach on a speedboat day trip with snorkelling stops. Leave early, as the bays fill up by late morning.
- Phang Nga BayLimestone stacks rising out of calm water, including James Bond island and Panyee, the floating village. Sea canoeing here is the highlight.
- Patong Beach and Bangla RoadThe main beach strip for water sports by day and the busiest nightlife in Phuket after dark. Quieter beaches are a short drive away.
- Phuket Old TownSino Portuguese shophouses along Thalang Road, small cafes and the Sunday walking street market. Best in the late afternoon.
- Big Buddha and Karon viewpointA white marble statue on a hill with views across the island, usually combined with Wat Chalong and the Karon three beaches viewpoint.
- Railay BeachReached only by longtail boat from Ao Nang, with cliffs on three sides, climbing routes and a walk to the lagoon viewpoint.
- Four Island tour from KrabiPoda, Chicken, Tup and Phra Nang islands in one day, with a sandbar you can walk across at low tide.

Best season

Good to know
- Indians can enter Thailand without a visa for short tourist stays under the visa exemption in force for 2026. Every traveller must also fill the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival, and we send you the link.
- The currency is the Thai baht. Carry cash for markets, longtail boats and small cafes, and use bank exchange counters rather than the airport for better rates.
- Tourist SIM cards with data are sold at both airports and give good coverage on the islands.
- Temples require covered shoulders and knees, and shoes come off at the door. Never sit or climb on a Buddha image.
- Boat tours run to the weather. If the sea is rough the operator may switch or cancel, and we rearrange the day rather than risk it.
- Vegetarian food is available but ask for no fish sauce and no oyster sauce. Look for the yellow and red jay sign for pure vegetarian.
- Sunscreen, a hat and water shoes are worth carrying, and never touch or stand on coral.
- Keep your passport in the hotel safe and carry a photocopy on boat days.
